A Shishu Mela was organised by Purbanchal Kalyan Ashram in a remote village Sonakhali Tetultala in association with Salt Lake Samiti and Kolkata Yuva Samiti on November 14. A total of 120 students from 11 Shishu Shiksha Kendras run by Purbanchal Kalyan Ashram in remote areas of Sundarban under Daxin 24 Pargana districts attended the day long function. The parents of some of the students were also present on the occasion.
All the children participated in various activities and the winners were honoured with prizes. Everyone got something. After the function sahbhoj was also organised. Akhil Bharatiya Vyavastha Pramukh of Kalyan Ashram Shri Gajanan Bapat addressed the students on the occasion and also honoured the winners. (By Basudeb Pal)
