SENIOR swayamsevak of Hong Kong Kishorilal Gupta passed away in Hong Kong on November 16. He was 77. With his passing away a glorious chapter in the work of Hindu Swayamsewak Sangh, Hong Kong is over. Kishorilalji was associated with it from its very inception. His continuous and unparallel contribution in the growth of Sangh work helped many karyakartas to work silently and effectively.

Sangh work was a sadhana for him. He had identified himself totally with the Sangh work and was its guide, friend and philosopher. Like a true swayamsevak, he never cared for any position in Sangh. In fact he was above all such positions. He made a strong impact with his personal exemplary behaviour and thereby left deep imprints in the thinking of swayamsevaks with regard to Sangh work and Sangh vision.

He was a dedicated and devoted swayamsevak and nurtured the work during all stages and particularly in its difficult times. He was a sanyasi as well a true karmayogi. During his last moments also he was thinking of only the Sangh. One of his last words as told to Manojji was Sangh ka khyaal rakhiye. A prayer meeting was held at Sangh office in Hong Kong on November 17.
