VANVASI Vikas Samiti, a unit of the Akhil Bharatiya Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram, organised a two-day Civil Service Orientation Camp in Bhilai from October 23 to 24. A one day similar camp was also organised at the University Campus in Raipur on August 29. A total of 75 students of various branches participated in the one-day camp. Kalyan Ashram joint general secretary Shri Kripa Prasad Singh was also present on the occasion.

The camp in Bhilai was inaugurated by Shankaracharya Engineering College director Shri Pratap Deshmukh and Kalyan Ashram Chhattisgarh president Shri Gopal Krishna Agrawal. A total of 55 students from 11th to postgraduation level participated in the camp. Sushri Pallavi Tandon who is DGM in BSNL and Raipur Municipal Corporation Commissioner Shri Omprakash Chaudhari guided the students at the camp. President of Maharashtra Mandal Bhilai Shri Sudhir Joshi, member of the State Public Service Commission Shri Deshpande were also present at the camp.
