SENIOR saints participating in the two-day Uchchadhikar Samiti apex body meeting organised in New Delhi on September 24 reiterated that the entire 70 acre acquired premises including the disputed 90×130 sq ft piece of land in Ayodhya, is the birth place of Sri Ram and any division of this premises or construction of a puja sthala of any other religion will not be allowed there.

The prominent saints who attended the meeting included, Shankaracharya Swami Vasudevanand, Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Vishwadevanand, Mahant Nrityagopaldas, Swami Parmananda, Swami Raghvacharya, Mahant Ramvilas Vedanti, Mahamandaleshwar Shivpremanand, Swami Vivekananda, Swami Parmatmanand, Mahamandaleshwar Raghavananda, Mahamandaleshwar Devendranand, Mahant Phooldol Biharidas, Mahant Rameshwardas Shrivaishnava, Acharya Dharmendra, Acharya Lokeshmuni, Swami Chinmayananda, Shri Hariomsharan, Swami Vigyananand, etc.

In a resolution adopted at the meeting, the saints said Sri Ram is the symbol of Bharat’s identity, culture, glorious traditions, valour, unity, integrity, and social harmony while Babur was an invader who demolished Sri Ramjanmabhoomi temple and tried to build a mosque over it to insult the Hindus. “Since generations the Hindus have been fighting for the liberation of the Janmabhoomi. The time has now come for all political parties to accept the truth that there can be no Bharat without Sri Ram. It is a matter of insult and pain for crores of Hindus world over that their Bhagwan remains in a makeshift temple.

The Uchchadhikar Samiti appeals to MPs of all the political parties to unanimously enact a law in Parliament like the Somnath temple and pave the way for the reconstruction of Sri Ram temple,” the resolution said. The saints also appealed to the Hindu society to oppose and foil any attempt to construct a mosque in the Janmabhoomi premises.
