SANSKAR Bharati in association with Lions Club, Bharat Vikas Parishad and some other organisations organised a Kala Utsava in Delhi on August 29. The day-long event was organised to celebrate Sri Krishna Janmashtami in which more than 10,000 people participated. Many competitions were conducted to celebrate the occasion. It included singing, painting, poem, classical dance and Sri Krishna Roop Sajja, etc. About 500 children participated in different competitions. The winners of the competitions were honoured at the concluding ceremony organised in the evening. Noted classical singer Smt Subhadra Desai was present at the function as judge. She appreciated the effort on the part of Sanskar Bharati. The function was presided over by noted classical singer Smt Sulochana Brahaspati. She also presented awards to the winners. (FOC)
