Paying tribute former RSS Sarsanghachalak Shri KS Sudarshan described Thakur Ramsingh as ‘a fully dedicated personality’. He said, “The credit to bring him into the Sangh goes to Shri Balraj Madhok. Both of them were then studying in Lahore. Before joining the Sangh, Ramsinghji was not very much inclined towards joining any social organisation. But Balrajji persuaded him to join the Sangh. He did Sangh Shiksha Varga in 1945. During the ban on the RSS in 1948, he and Bhai Mahavir worked, remaining underground. Since he had seen the havoc of Partition and the suffering of the refugees very closely, he decided to dedicate his entire life to the cause of nation building. When he went to Assam there was not much Sangh work in the region and the atmosphere was also unfavourable. But he developed a strong base of Sangh there. He had a very sharp memory and had a quality of establishing contacts with people. He used to be always ready for Sangh work even while he was sick. He also played a key role in expanding the work of Akhil Bharatiya Itihas Sankalan Yojna. His contribution in presenting the Indian history in right perspective will always be remembered. We must draw inspiration from such a dedicated life.”
