THIS book essentially focuses on a reunion party where the participants are happy though unsure of their surroundings and not knowing how to react. There always are those who seem to ooze confidence and pride as they circulate among the others, imitating and cracking jokes that people are forced to laugh at. Then there are those who suffer from certain insecurities and thus tend to huddle up, trying to locate one whom they can target for criticism and provide fuel for their conversation. In other words, there are times when it’s fun and sometimes its utter boredom but, as someone has said, “all that happens, happens for a good reason.”
Anurag and his office colleague Simmi are due for promotion and are contemporaries. Simmi is known for her flings with different boys and Anurag manages to persuade her to leave the job and settle down. She agrees, leaves the office and is just about to get married to Roshan when the latter breaks off with her. She becomes an addict to drugs and drinks. One day Anurag learns that Simmi had actually loved him as is confirmed when she had deliberately left the office on his asking her to do so, so that he could get promotion. Anyway it is all past now for Anurag is happily married and settled in life.
