FORMER RSS Sarsanghachalak Shri KS Sudarshan was on a month-long US tour from June 8 to July 6, 2010. For first few days, he stayed at his nephew’s house and attended some family functions. He also visited shakhas at Fullerton, California and bay areas. In his speeches there, he emphasised the need to use Hindi as a common language for communication. While emphasising to pay attention to perfection, he gave examples of daksha, samata as well as sanghik geet to explain how finer details need to be explained, observed and practiced. He insisted that swayamsevaks should thrive for the perfection.

At Los Angeles, Shri Sudarshan had a bouddhik karyakram attended by a large number of swayamsevaks and sevikas. The bouddhik detailed Doct-orji’s life along with the growth of Sangh and how shakha has led to sarvangeen vikas (all round development) of Hindu society. The question and answer session was unique in its own way. It revealed many different details on different topics. Answering a question about the Vishwa Mangal Gou Gram Yatra, he explained in detail some organic farming techniques and the history behind chemical fertilizers and why they cause harm.

Shri Sudarshan also visited the Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh training camp at Atlanta and Jagannath Dham. On July 1, he addressed a gathering organised by Friends of India Society International (FISI) at New Jersey where the topic was ‘challenges facing India and shaping its future.’ He also addressed a gathering of North America Sanketi Organisation (NASA) and spoke on the life of Adi Shankaracharya.
