FORMER Vice Chancellor of Kota University Dr Manohar Lal Kalra said the knowledge of mother tongue is must for having deeper knowledge of any subject. He was releasing the special issue of Shaikshik Manthan, an official journal of Akhil Bharatiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh, in Jaipur on July 5. The special issue is dedicated to the significance of mother tongue in primary education. Dr Purushottam Lal Chaturvedi, former vice chancellor of Mahrishi Dayananda University, Ajmer, said the pride of mother tongue is must for connecting the person to his/her culture and roots. General secretary of the Mahasangh Shri Vimal Prasad, Kshetra Bauddhik Pramuk Shri Kailash Chand Sharma, editor of Shaikshik Manthan Shri Santosh Pande and Managing editor Shri Mahendra Kapoor also spoke on the occasion.
