THIS is a small booklet in Hindi to propagate the adoption of certain precautions so as to prevent AIDS from spreading. It explains that it is the Human Immuno-Deficiency Virus which attacks a person when his or her resistance to infection decreases. As a result, all kinds of infections attack him or her till he or she dies. The booklet explains that AIDS is caused by a retrovirus, which was discovered in 1984 by Robert Gaylo and his fellow scientists at the National Institute of Health in USA. It is a virus so tiny that 10,000 of it can sit together on the needle point.

This is a publicity booklet to create awareness about AIDS. —MG
