RAMNAVAMI was celebrated in Delhi with great zeal and fervor. A grand procession was organised by Indraprastha Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Hindu Parva Samanvaya Samiti and many other religious, cultural, social and educational institutions. More than 201 tableaux and Bhajan Mandalis participated in the procession.
Mayor of Delhi Dr Kanvar Sen, VHP vice president Shri Om Prakash Singhal, chairman of Hindu Parva Samanwaya Samiti Swami Raghwanand and chairman of Sanatan Dharm Pratinidhi Sabha Shri Manohar Lal Kumar inaugurated the procession by lighting the lamps. The procession began at 2.30 pm from Ramlila Maidan and concluded at Gangeshwar Dham in Karol Bag. Thousands of people gathered at various places and welcome the procession by showering flower petals.
