HACHETTE has come out with a handy book Children’s Infopedia & Yearbook 2010. It’s a fun book for kids, packed with short, crispy facts about the world, about India, fascinating facts, quizzes, puzzles and news capsules.

It has an index that makes it easy to reach specific info one is looking for. The infopedia has a dairy, one moth a page with space for marking things to remember. The list of prize winners has names from Nobel, Oscar, Padma Bhushan, Ashok Chakra, book awards and sports.

There is an interesting list of 50 geographic words one must know. In the history section, there are two portions — one dealing with world and the other with India. Literature, music, dance, planets, space and sports are all in separate sections.

It is an all colour edition with over 500 photographs and illustrations. Decently priced at Rs 250, the book is sure to come in useful for kids while doing home projects offering quick references. It is not an exhaustive knowledge book. But an interesting and fun book offering a lot of trivia info.
