THIS year’s Shri Guruji Puraskars were presented in Nashik on February 17. Shri Jyotirbhaskar Jayantrao Salgaonkar, Dr Yogesh Gurjar and Ustad Usman Khan were presented the Puraskar for their outstanding performance in their respective fields. The Puraskar consists of a citation, memento and the cheque of Rs 51,000 each.
Presenting the Puraskar, noted mathematician Shri Vijay Bhatkar described Shri Guruji as the true nation-builder and said he had deep knowledge of the world. He said Shri Guruji presented the RSS through his personal conduct. He stressed the need to mix ancient Indian wisdom with the modern science to get better results. Chittor Prant Sanghachalak Dr Bhagwati Prasad Sharma said India has the capacity to lead the world. Ustad Usman Khan said the Purskar would encourage him for performing better. Shri Jayant Salgaonkar and Dr Yogesh Gurjar thanked the Rashtriya Swayam-sevak Sangh Jankalyan Samiti (Maharashtra Prant) for presenting the award to them.
