A three-day training camp of Rashtra Sevika Samiti for the workers of Purvottar Kshetra concluded in Kolkata on December 27. Organised as part of the birth centenary of Vandaniya Tai Apte, over 600 Samiti workers from two Kshetras participated in the camp.
Sanyasini Gynanandamayi Maa inaugurated the sammelan by lighting the lamp on December 25. Akhil Bharatiya Baudhik Pramukh Smt Sarad Renu, Akhil Bharatiya Sah-Baudhik Pramukh Smt Sulabha Despande, Prant Sanchalika of Uttar Assam Dr Malati Barua and Prant Karyavahika of Paschimbang Prant Smt Mahua Dhar were also present on the occasion.
Sanyasini Gynanandamoyee Maa praised the activities of Rashtra Sevika Samiti and invited Smt Mahua Dhar to visit her Ashram at Hridaypur to impart training to the activists. She urged the women to join the Samiti work. Smt Sulabha Despande said it is the mother who can impart samskars to her children to do something for the motherland. She cited the example of Mata Jijabai and Rani Laxmibai.
