This is a thin booklet of poems revealing the poet’s spirit of patriotism and experience of life. In a poem on the current situation he says:
Sab kuchchh chheen raha hai vikas
yuva pidihi dhadadhad daud rahi hai
carein, kanpti dharti roti kab tak sahegi
yeh khoon nichurta vidohan prakriti ka
Tehri ka, Ganga uphan rahi hai
bandh ki oonchayi ke barabar hokar Tehri.
In this poem, the poet is expressing his grief over the fast-flowing life and modernisation which are a pressure on Earth.
In the theme poem Prithvi ki Pratyancha, he says:
Ahevi ka kya pata
kaunsi andheri gufa mein chhupa hai
Matunga ya Mumbai, Jhaveri Bazar ya Dubai.
Kahan se marta hai khhench baan
kabhi bhi kat jati hai jeebh daton ke beech.
In the poem the poet says who knows about the terrorist as to where he is hiding, which part of Mumbai or Dubai, and from where he would launch his attack, causing destruction to take place any time.
Talking of his birthday he laments:
Hey janamdin
tumhein pranam!
Hey kal-vyal
kha gaya tu mere
itne saal.
The poet asks his birthday why it has made him lose so may years of his life and concludes this poem by saying:
Achanak niklyega kisi din
munh se Rama aur purey
honge umr ke
barhe huey aam,
kahan aayega janam doosra
kaun bachcha hai ab karne ko kaam.
The poet says that all of a sudden he will die one day when his age is completed and who knows about rebirth when nobody is left to do the work.
This is an amalgam of some good, some mediocre and some rather weak poems but can be read as a pastime.
