Former RSS Sarsangha-chalak Shri KS Sudarshan appealed to the industrialists to set up cow-based industries on large scale, as it is the most effective way of preserving and protecting the govansh and also encouraging the common man for herding the cow. He was addressing a gathering of gobhakta industrialists in New Delhi on October 29. The meeting was attended by many eminent industrialists already running successful cow-based industries in different parts of the country.
Shri Sudarshan exhorted if we really want to strengthen our economy we must ensure that it is cow-based. Many people have proved that the cow can provide work to every hand and the situation may arise in the country when the cows smuggled to Bangladesh need to be imported. “If we are able to make the farmers and villagers realise that they can earn good amount of money through cow urine and dung alone, they would surely stop selling cows to butchers. The goshalas too cannot be run for long only with the help of donations. Therefore, they will also have to adopt this economic aspect of the cow on large scale,” he said.
Shri Sudarshan said the organic fertilizer has 18 substances while the chemical fertilizer has only 8. That is why the chemical fertilizers fail to provide the required nutrients to the soil. When the organic fertilizer provides only healthy substances to the soil the chemical fertilizers make it poisonous leading to many critical diseases. He said if we are able to popularise the experiments highlighting the economic significance of the cow it would be the greatest service to the country. “The Vishwa Mangal Gou Gram Yatra is a mass awareness movement, which is educating the people of all these aspects of the cow. This is basically a unique freedom movement. If the cow is protected and preserved today the whole nation would be protected,” he added. Stressing the significance of the Indian cow he said the Indian cow milk has 104 per cent nutrients while the crossbreed cow milk has just 15 per cent. Even buffalo milk has 36 per cent nutrients.
Veteran Sangh Pracharak Shri Omprakash who is dedicated to the cause of cow protection, said the Vishwa Mangal Gou Gram Yatra has successfully exhorted the people about the significance of the cow. “There is no lack of respect to the cow among the masses. But it would not be protected even if a central law is enacted. The economic aspect of the cow is very important,” he said. Explaining the economic significance of the cow he said a cow gives around five kg dung and about five liter urine every day. A farmer can earn about Rs 50 from this urine and dung every day. It is practically being done in many parts of the country. There are so many things, which are being made of cow urine and dung. He made it clear that the tiles made of cow dung are not only highly strong but also radiation free. There is so much demand of these tiles that the manufacturers are not meeting it. There is a need to set up many such industries to meet this demand. The demand of the products made of cow dung is increasing. On this Diwali alone, there was a demand of crores of idols of Laxmi and Ganesh made of panchgavya, but we could not meet the demand. This demand will increase in coming day as the awareness spreads, he said.
Shri Purushottam Toshniwal appealed to the industrialists to use the cow urine and cow dung as raw material in their factories to earn good profit. “Cow-based industry is the best option today for the industrialists who want to invest from Rs 10,000 to ten lakh. Dr Shrikrishna Mittal, who is successfully making tiles from the cow dung and is going to set up a big industry for it in Mathura, called upon the people if they wish to see the miracle of the cow, they should visit his factory in Mathura. He said he started a small plant of making partical board a few years back and now he started a big plant after huge profit. He said if the cow based industries are popularised, lakhs and crores of trees would be saved which are now being cut as raw material in the factories.
