“There should be national policy, rather politics, on terrorism. Only then we shall be able to make the nation terror-free,” said RSS National Executive Member Shri Indresh Kumar. He was addressing a gathering assembled at Hyderabad Mukti Diwas celebration on September 17 in Hyderabad. The function was organised by Hindu Vahini. In the beginning, Shri Indresh Kumar and other distinguished personalities hoisted the national flag at the function. Talking about the freedom struggle, Shri Indresh Kumar said though the country got Independence on August 15, 1947 certain parts of the country, divided into small provinces, were not part of the country. These provinces were included in the country under the leadership of Sardar Patel. But Kashmir, Junagarh and Hyderabad did not agree to merge in India and they wanted their independent status. In Hyderabad, the people wanted to be with India but Nijam was not ready. It was on September 17, 1948 that Hyderabad was merged in India. He pointed out that many leaders including Mahatma Narayan Swami, Vinayak Rao Vidyalankar, Pt Narendra, YD Joshi, Ramkrishan Dhoot, and many organisations worked for the liberation of Hyderabad from the rule of Nijam.
