Health camp by Kalyan Ashram in Lahol Spiti

Himgiri Kalyan Ashram organised a free health camp at Kelong, 13050 ft above the sea level, in Lahol Spiti district of Himachal Pradesh from August 21 to 23. A total of 864 patients were treated in the camp by 12 doctors from Shimla and 8 doctors from Lahol Spiti. Twenty two paramedical staff of Himgiri Kalyan Ashram managed the camp. People from 96 villages of Lahol Spiti and 17 villages from other bordering villages visited the camp. Himachal Pradesh Health Minister Dr Rajiv Bindal and Joint General Secretary of Akhil Bharatiya Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram Shri Kripa Prasad Singh jointly inaugurated the camp. Dr Bindal appreciated the developmental efforts of Himgiri Kalyan Ashram in the regiona and assured full help from the state government. Shri Kripa Prasad Singh pointed out that the Kalyan Ashram workers treated 9,25,116 patients during the last year throughout the country in tribal villages. The beneficiaries of educational services are 1,02034 in schools and hostels run by Kalyan Ashram. Medicines were managed by Solan unit of the Kalyan Ashram.  (FOC)
