Training camp of Rashtriya Sevika Samiti began in Delhi on June 6. The camp was inaugurated by performing a yajna. Besides the trainees, Uttar Kshetra Pracharika Sushri Rekha Raje, Uttar Kshetra Nidhi Pramukh Smt. Nirmal Gupta, Delhi Prant Karyavahika Smt. Radha Mehta and Delhi Prant Pracharika Poonam Gupta were present at the inaugural ceremony. Since it is birth centenary year of second Pramukh Sanchalika of the Samiti, Tai Apte, an exhibition highlighting her life and works was also organised at the venue.
According to Smt Radha Mehta the training camp is an attempt to provide patriotic samskars to the girls so that they can play a responsible role towards the society and the nation. She pointed out that 101 girls of Delhi are undergoing training at the camp, which will conclude on June 21. Girls above the age of 8th standard participated in the camp.
