“All people belonging to different sections, castes and ways of worship attend the Sangh shakha everyday. The feeling that we all are part of the Hindu society is infused in their heart. Need of the hour is that the feeling that we are not coward but brave, has to be instilled in the hearts of all,” said RSS Sarkaryavah Shri Bhaiyaji Joshi. He was speaking at a function organised in East Delhi on May 17. Sah Prant Pracharak of Delhi Dr Krishna Kumar Baveja, Prant Sayam Karyavah Shri Roshanji and Yamuna Vihar Vibhag Pracharak Shri Ajay Kumar were among the dignitaries present on the occasion.
Shri Joshi said the country would become strong only when we all become strong. He appealed to the people to become hardworking and develop a feeling of serving those who are still marginalised. “All people who are economically backward, illiterate or downtrodden are our own brothers and sisters. They should be treated with equal love and respect. Basically this is the Sangh work. This work is done in all the shakhas wherever they are conducted. All activities conducted in the shakha make us patriot and a feeling is generated that we have to work for our nation,” he added.
The RSS Sarkaryavah said an ordinary person goes to park or gymnasium for making his body healthy and fit, but a swayamsevak goes to the shakha to learn how to protect the society and the nation, apart from making his body fit. “A swayamsevak also comes to the shakha to become a good Hindu. Those who go to the temples, undertake pilgrimages and attend discourses of saints are also Hindus. They do it for their own benefit. Some wishes to attain salvation after death while some do it for earning punya. But a swayamsevak going to the shakha wishes to become a Bharatiya who is proud of being a Hindu. It means we need to become a Hindu not only with outer outlook, but also with internal thinking,” Shri Joshi added.
