Welcoming the May 14 order of Supreme Court revoking National Security Act (NSA) on Varun Gandhi, Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) termed it as a slap on the face of Uttar Pradesh Government and the ‘secular’ leaders of the country. In a statement issued in New Delhi VHP spokesperson Dr Surendra Jain said the so-called ‘secular’ leaders must understand that they would not be allowed to go to any extent to appease Muslim voters. It is proved by the judgement that the Muslim appeasement policy is not only unconstitutional but also undemocratic, he added.
