Vidya Bharati meeting in Sikkim

A two-day meeting of Vidya Bharati, Poorva Kshetra, was held at Gangtok in Sikkim from February 14 to 15. Speaking at the meeting, Shri DP Sharma, Home Secretary of Sikkim Government, applauded the work done by Vidya Bharati and said the organisation was playing a key role in protecting and preserving the Indian culture and values. Five Prants?Sikkim, Uttar Banga, Orissa and Andaman Nicobar Islands form the Porva Kshetra. A total of 25 Vidya Bharati leaders participated in the meeting. Shri Prakash Chandra, national joint organising secretary of Vidya Bharati, inaugurated the meeting. Shri Advaita Charan Dutt, Uttar Banga Prant Pracharak, was present at the concluding ceremony. The meeting prominently discussed the future plans and evaluated the one years? activities. Earlier, State Education Minister Shri GM Gurung had attended the bhoomi poojan ceremony of a Vidya Bharati school.
