Bharat Vikas Parishad (BVP) organised a national chorus singing competition in Bhubneswar from November 15 to 16. More than 800 children in 42 teams participated in the competition. All the teams sang songs in groups. The team of Western Uttar Pradesh won the prize for Hindi songs while the award for regional languages went to the team of West Bengal. The Rashtriya Samoohagan Pratiyogita was started by BVP in 1967 to inculcate the spirit of nationalism among the children.
