Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) served a legal notice to NDTV for the baseless and false news telecasted by the chennel about Bajrang Dal on October 26. General secretary of VHP Delhi Satyendra Mohan said linking the Malegaon blast, the channel telecast that Bajrang Dal had convened a meeting and a training programme in Pune and Nagpur without verifying any facts. ?We believe in free and fair press but the freedom of expression can not go with defamation of other. We have informed the NDTV yesternight over phone that the news about Bajrang Dal is not correct and its telecast should be stopped immediately. Even after the news continued without any change which is derogatory to defamatory in nature. Therefore, we have today served a legal notice to the channel. The notice has been served through advocate Ravindra Gupta on October 27.
