Swayamsevaks rescue victims of Metro Rail mishap

Delhi witnessed an unprecedented mishap on October 19 when an under construction viaduct of Metro Rail Corporation collapsed in Laxmi Nagar area at 6.45 am and killed two persons. The rescue operation of the Metro Rail Corporation and local police began after half an hour but the RSS swayamsevaks who were mostly returning from shakhas at that time rushed to the spot immediately and helped in finding the dead bodies and prevented people to stay away from the site. According to Shri Dayananda, Vibhag Karyavah, there are six shakhas around Laxmi Nagar (Jagatram Park, Nirman Vihar, Preet Vihar, Shakarpur, Laxmi Nagar, etc.) and the swayamsevaks were returning from shakhas at the time when mishap took place. As they came to know about the incident they rushed to the site and started carrying the injured persons to hospitals. Several news channels showed the swayamsevaks carrying out the rescue operation. Zilla Karyavah Shri Suresh Kumar also phoned the local Assistant Commissioner of Police and offered him every possible help from the swayamsevaks.
