Thousands of ABVP activists burnt the effigies of Union HRD Minister Arjun Singh and Vice Chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia University for extending support to terrorists nabbed in Delhi blasts. The effigies were burnt before the statue of Pt. Madan Mohan Malviya in Benaras Hindus University on September 27. Addressing the gathering after burning the effigies, Shri Bipulendra Pratap Singh said it is dangerous for the whole country to have persons on important post who support the terrorists in such a way. ?The support of Shri Arjun Singh to the terrorists is nothing but treachery?. They demanded to remove both the persons from their posts with immediate effect.

Meanwhile, Vishwa Hindu Parishad demanded to hang all the supporters of terrorism. In a statement issued in New Delhi on September 27 Shri Satyendra Mohan, general secretary of Indraprastha VHP said another bomb blast in south Delhi on September 27 was the result of the open support to terrorists by prominent political leaders and educational institutions. If the government really wants to crush terrorism, it has to book those first who support the terrorists directly or indirectly. Providing any support whether it is financial, legal or otherwise, would take the life of the innocent citizens. Merely making statements before the press would not serve any purpose, added Shri Mohan.
