Ganga Raksha Yatra being undertaken in Andhra Pradesh for the protection of the Ganga was conducted in Vijaywada on September 18. Similar yatras and ralliess were organised at 32 places in the state. After the rally, a memorandum was submitted to Collector demanding free flow of the holy river. Now a signature campaign is also going on in the state for the protection of the river. International joint secretary general of VHP Shri Champat Rai, Kshetra Sanghathan Mantri Shri Sudhansu Mohan Patnaik, Shri Gandhi from Patanjali Yoga Peeth, Vijaywada Mahanagar convener of the yatra Shrinivasan were also present on the occasion.
