BHUBANESWAR: Bharatiya Kisan Sangh (BKS) alleged that the church people were making false claims of casualties to get relief and other benefits. BKS state secretary Prafulla Das, who led a eight-member team to the violence-hit areas, said more Hindus are staying in relief camps than Christains but the Government is maintaining double standard over relief activities.

Christians, in an attempt to get Government assistance and foreign funds, are falsely claiming causalities, Shri Das added. Government is not paying attention to Hindu victims in violence-hit areas, he alleged. ?We found that church people planted a well-coordinated story by portraying burnt to death case of Mukunda Bardhan at Mukundpur. In fact, Bardhan had died due to other reasons and he was not burnt to death by the rioters, he added.

Governor'svisit to relief centre invites criticism

Meanwhile, Dharm Jagaran Samiti came down heavily on Orissa Governor MC Bhandare for his visit to a relief camp for church people in Cuttack. The Governor, instead of visiting the killers at various relief centres, should have reached the Hindu victims, Samiti'sOrissa chief Binay Kumar Bhuyan said. He further alleged that the visit rather boosted the morale of the killers. He asked Governor to visit G Udaygiri to see the terror of Christian terrorists.

Shri Bhuyan added that more than 3,000 women held a demonstration in front of the Block and police station of G Udayagiri. He also alleged that police is arresting innocent Hindus.
