Delhi unit of Vishwa Hindu Parishad celebrated the victory of nationalist forces in Jammu & Kashmir for getting back the land. As soon as the news of accepting the demands of Shri Amarnath Yatra Sangharsh Samiti spread in Delhi the VHP activists organised prayers of Lord Shiva and Hanuman at Hanuman Mandir complex in Connaught Place and distributed sweets as well as burnt the firecrackers. Addressing the jubilant gathering at Hanuman Mandir, VHP general secretary Dr Pravin Togadia said equal status be given to the Jammu region, Kashmiri Pandits be re-settled in Kashmir, article 370 should be abolished and anti-nationals of the Valley should be hanged to death to save the country. Other prominent leaders present on the occasion were international treasurer of VHP Shri Omprakash Singhal, president of Indraprastha VHP Shri Swadeshpal Gupta, general secretary of Indraprastha VHP Shri Satyendra Mohan, organising secretary Shri Karuna Prakash and state convenor of Shri Amarnath Yatra Sangharsh Samiti Shri Mangeram Garg.
