Second volume of Geeta Parikarma, a book authored by the late Acharya Vishnukant Shastri, was released in Kolkata on August 3. The function was organised by Shree Burra Bazar Kumarsabha Pustakalaya. Releasing the book, noted singer Smt. Girija Devi said Shastriji was more simple and humble person than a scholar. Swami Satyarupananda of Ramakrishna Mission said everything what a person needs in the life is in the Geeta. Geeta is the essence of all the Vedas. Shri Narendra Kohli who edited the book said though there are various interpretations of Geeta, but the interpretation of Geeta by Acharya Vishnukant Shastri touches the heart of the common man. Shri Jugal Kishore Jaithalia said Shastriji explained the essence of the Geeta in simple words so that a lay-man could understand and imbibe it.
