“Today Islamic Jihad, naxalism and Bangladeshi infiltration have posed a big threat to India'snational security. The terrorist outfits are targeting industries, IT sectors, nuclear installations, Hindu religious places, including often attacks on mosque to trigger off communal violence,? said former Director General of Punjab Police Shri P.C. Dogra at a seminar held in Gurgaon on India'sNational Security on August 3. The seminar was organised by Vivekananda Vichar Manch.

Shri Dogra expressed concern over the smuggling of over 46,000 tonne narcotics annually by the terrorists in India costing around 8 million dollars of which 3 million dollars are shared by Pakistan'sISI, causing deep harm to the nation'syouths. More than 42,000 madrasas in India are the root cause of jihadi breeding. Over 20 million illegal Bangladeshi migrants leaving in India are now ruining the country. Before the implementation of Illegal Migrant Determination by Tribunals Act in Assam, more than 3 lakh migrants were deported to Bangladesh but after IMDT Act non of the Bangladeshis are being deported so far. Vote Bank politics is solely responsible for this huge influx. Though Former Governor of Assam, T.V. Rajeswar had earlier warned of the serious consequence saying that there is a district danger of another Muslim country in Assam. But Centre and State governments did nothing positive,? he said.

Shri Vikram Sood, former chief of RAW said India is lacking the vision of becoming super power. India must learn from America in protecting the national security. As for America the national security is paramount.

Shri Bharat Karnad, a defence expert, stated that today terrorism could be a global issue but for Pakistan it is a matter of state policy. America and China are using Pak as their proxy. While dealing with Pakistan we are dealing with America and China in real sense. Hence, there is a high need to reset our national policies, he stressed.

Shri Indresh Kumar expressed his concern over the growing menace of terrorism. He said our 7500 km sea and 16,700 land border is insecure. The growing population of Christians and Muslims all along the border areas is turning heaven for terrorists and foreign elements. Illegal Bangladeshi immigrants are not only passing an extra burden of Rs 900 crore annually on India but also snatching more than 16 lakh jobs in private sectors from Indians. When Muslims of the world assemble they speak in Arabic; when worlds? Christians get together they communicate in English proudly; but when the matters of Hindu and Buddhists are discussed we lack a common language of communications. Even in India it is unfortunate that when the matter of Hindi comes some of Indian groups, under foreign influence or anti-national elements raise their voice against Hindi. We must understand the design behind anti- Hindi stirs.

Shri S.K. Kaul, former Chief of Air Force, Dr Prem Sablok, former Comptroller General and Shri R.K. Ohri, former DGP of Arunachal Pradesh also addressed the seminar.

Shri Rajpal Vasan, vice president of the Manch proposed a vote of thanks. Most of the participants in the seminar were industrialists and technocrats.
