Noted research scholar and founder of Saraswati River Research Project Dr S. Kalyanraman was presented Dr Hedgewar Prajna Samman in Kolkata on June 8. RSS Sahsarkaryavah Shri Suresh Soni presented him a coconut and a shawl and former Union HRD Minister Dr Murli Manohar Joshi presented the memento and a cheque of Rs 51,000. The Samman was presented by Shree Burrabazar Kumarsabha Pustakalaya.
Speaking on the occasion Shri Suresh Soni said whatever problems the country facing today are because of the killing of our traditional knowledge by the British. He called upon the people to revive that rich knowledge and spread it to the masses. Dr Murli Manohar Joshi said only by adopting the Hindu values of life and identifying our asmita we can restore our pristine identity in the world. Receiving the Samman Dr Kalyanraman said it is with the inspiration of the late Moropant Pingle that more than 1000 scientists are today engaged in Saraswati River project.
