A Yahoo India Poll survey conducted by a user of popular website Yahoo, recently, has revealed that Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi is the most popular politician in India.
Sahil Thakkar a user of Yahoo displayed a poll related question on Yahoo website: ?Who is the most popular politician in India? (1) Sonia Gandhi (2) Lalu Prasad Yadav (3) Narendra Modi? on April 2, 2008.
As many as 15,525 Yahoo users cast their votes. The voters chose Shri Narendra Modi as the most popular politician in India with 7,499 votes (48 per cent). While shri. Lalu Prasad Yadav secured 4,817 votes (31 per cent) and Smt Sonia Gandhi with 3,209 votes (21 per cent) stood third in the contest, the result for which declared on April 3, 2008. Yahoo website conducts such polls on different subjects on day to day basis. From among a lucky user is selected to put up a question which should be answered within 24 hours.
