Bharat Sanskrit Parishad, a unit of Vishwa Hindu Parishad East Andhra Pradesh, has been organising Bhagwad Gita learning competition since 13 years. The competition begins from the Prakhand level and concludes at the Prant level. This year the competition was held in nine districts in which over 9000 people participated. People learn one chapter every year. So far they have learnt 13 chapters and the 14th chapter would be learnt next year. The winners are provided cash prize and certificates. This year'scompetition concluded on December 25 in which more than 400 people participated. Representatives from nine districts participated in the competition in six categories. A procession and meeting was also held for the competition in which Swami Pranavnanda, Swami Sachchidananda of Vijaywada, Swami Ramrasananda and Shri Kollipar Pandu blessed the participants. State organising secretary of the Parishad Shri Kanna Bhaskar, state secretary Shri V. Subbarao and Prant Pramukh Shri Challa Lakshmi Reddy were also present on the occasion. (FOC)
