Bhubaneswar: As the celebration was on air, how can the RSS be exempted from the celebration and service on the day of the great car festival of the great Lord of the universe Shri Jagannath in Puri. Lakhs of devotees were eager to have darshan of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and the Goddess Subhadra on the chariots. The swayamsevaks involved themselves in the service of the common people and the devotees during the festival.

More than 300 swayamsevaks were engaged in the festival. The activists supplied thousands of pouch water at six places under the banner of Utkal Bippana Sahayata Samiti (UBSS). The Sangh also opened two primary care centres and deployed 45 doctors with 5 ambulances. More than 108 swayamsevaks were engaged in each chariot for the security of chariots.
