The natural questions that arise in the mind regarding the introduction of sex education at primary and middle schools are, on whose recommendation was the decision taken; who prepared the syllabus; was it scrutinised by a competent and qualified agency? Does the Minister for HRD enjoy the right to introduce texts and books into the CBSE schools overlooking the procedures? Were the opinions of teachers/parents and children taken before the decision was taken? These are some serious questions Arjun Singh will have to answer.
