The Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, IB, RAW and National Security Advisor M.K. Narayanan have been warning Kerala of ISI backed Islamic militant outfits operating in various places in the state. But unmindful of the fire play both the LDF and UDF have been pampering to the militants? for vote banks.

In a serious warning to the state Government the GOC of Southern States Major General B. Shivshankar, told Chief Minister V.S. Achudanandan bluntly that ISI was lending financial and ideological support to various militants? outfits and that the state should view it seriously. The Major General was participating in a Civil-Defence liason conference held in Thiruvananthapuram, recently.

He said that Pakistan and Bangladesh are infiltrating India for extremist and demographic purposes. He also continued, that the war-like situation in Sri Lanka, the activities of Maoists in Nepal and ULFA in North-east are great threats to the Nation, which are being exploited by ISI and Islamic militant groups.

But unmindful of all warnings both the CPM and UDF are backing Islamic militants to the hilt. Despite a year after the discovery for 800 gelatine sticks in Kozhikode and consequent bombs blasts there, not a single fly has been arrested or questioned. Throwing the Army'swarning to the Waste-bin, they have allowed Hilal Mohammed to escape. Bomb blasts or Terrorist attacks no problem, we want only votes!  (FOC)
