The alumni and senior activists of various schools run by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) in Banswara region of Rajasthan for the last 30 years assembled at the Bharat Mata Mandir of Banswara on October 29 to show their commitment to the society and also to the projects, which mould their life. More than 1,100 alumni and activists belonging to 200 villages participated in the convention.
Speaking at the concluding ceremony, Shri Madan Das, Sahsarkaryavah of RSS, said the Banswara region is going to witness a historic change. He said the VHP through its educational and village development projects has brought about a unique change in the region. ?I have witnessed here that thousands of workers who are ready to dedicate their youth and life to the nation are being groomed. The project needs to be emulated and should be started in other parts of the country also,? he added. He said that during the birth centenary year of Shri Guruji, the RSS has decided to strengthen social harmony and national unity by eradicating untouchability and caste-based discrimination from the society. He further said that with the social unity we can defeat the enemies of the country. He called upon all the workers to move forward with the task of national security, integrity and progress.
Earlier inaugurating the convention, Shri Mohan Joshi, central secretary of VHP, said the UPA government is in the process of providing reservation to the Muslims but it has no concrete action plan for the development of Vanvasi areas of the country. He said the sufficient amount should be allotted for the development of agriculture and Vanvasi areas and also to set up small industries in these areas. He alleged that more than 3,000 Christian priests have entered India with tourist or visiting visa since Smt. Sonia Gandhi became active in politics and they have targeted the Southern states prominently for conversion purposes. He emphasised that at least 10 crore Vanvasis and economically backward Hindus would be converted to Christianity in the coming 10 years.
Shri Joshi said the VHP through its 25,000 service projects is trying to counter the anti-national activities in the Vanvasi and backward areas of the country. He said the projects have produced very overwhelming results in Banswara region. More than 33,000 Vanvasi boys and girls are being provided education through 12 hostels and 500 schools from primary to secondary level here. He stressed the need to bring an ideological revolution in the country through education and public welfare projects. He pointed out that the VHP would set up schools and herb plants in at least one lakh villages in coming 10 years and 10,000 workers would be trained for these activities. He appealed to the alumni to spare some time from their daily scheduled for the society.
Shri Ramswaroop, incharge of the Banswara project and joint central secretary of the VHP, highlighted the educational and public awareness activities going on in the region. Shri Hariomsharan Maharaj, noted saint of Banswara, also spoke on the occasion. Shri Madan Das, Shri Mohan Joshi and Chittaurgarh Prant Pracharak Shri Durgadas visited 10 schools run by the VHP in the region on October 30. (FOC)
