Seminar in Patan to celebrate Shri Guruji's birth centenary

A seminar on ?Challenges to the internal security of the nation? was organisd to celebrate the birth centenary of Shri Guruji at Rang Bhavan of Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University, Patan, recently. The seminar, which was attended by the office-bearers of the local, district and state level units of RSS and a gathering of distinguished citizens, was presided over by Shri B.A. Prajapati, Vice-Chancellor.

In his inaugural speech, Shri Joginder Singh, ex-director of CBI, urged the people to fight the menace of terrorism with collective involvement. Dr Jayantibhai Bhadesiya, Prant Karyavah, highlighted the landmarks of the brilliant academic carrier in the early life of Shri Guruji, followed by spiritual advancement in the Himalayan mountain area, and his dignified virtues as well as his devotional performance and service rendered particularly for 33 years to rear up the tree of RSS, now grown up as a nationwide colossal tree under his initial guidance.

In the second session, Shri S.M. Soni, ex-Lokayukta, Gujarat, expressed his dismay over relaxation and abolition of Acts like TADA and POTA, which were competent to prevent and restrict terrorism to some extent. He also urged the media to play a responsible and reliable role in this direction. Shri Sudhirbhai Raval accused the media of its failure in identifying the sources of terrorism. He condemned those politicians who resort to the politics of regionalism, casteism and language phobia. He appealed to the people to rise and form an integrated, united strength to combat these evils. In his presidential speech, Shri B.A. Prajapati assured of the due cooperation from the field of universities to the internal security of the nation, as is needed most today.
