“If the views of Shri Guruji are presented in right perspective, they can provide the solution to most of the problems the country is facing today. The tension in the name of caste is not good. The ideology of Shri Guruji can play a vital role in this regard,? said Shri Bhairon Singh Shekhawat, Vice President of India. He was releasing a book, Guruji and Social Harmony, authored by Justice (retd.) Dr M. Rama Jois at his residence in New Delhi on September 14. Besides hundreds of distinguished people of Delhi, Sahsarkaryavah of RSS Shri Suresh Soni and Leader of Opposition Shri L.K. Advani were also present on the occasion. Published by Shri Guruji Birth Centenary Celebration Committee, the 200 pages book has been priced at Rs 125.

Shri Shekhawat said no hurdle could prevent the spread of the work for which great personalities like Shri Guruji dedicated their life. He said the biggest problem that he sees in the country today is the lack of unity among people and the life and view of Shri Guruji have the solution to it. He said Shri Guruji gave more importance to the Indian culture than any other thing and he fully dedicated himself for this cause. He knew how to develop the personality of others. Shri Shekhawat pointed out that he met Shri Guruji in 1949 and since then he maintained close relations with him. ?He had the unique quality to influence others,? he added.

Sardar Tarlochan Singh, former chairman of National Commission for Minorities and Rajya Sabha MP, said Shri Guruji was in favour of casteless society and respect to all ways of worship. He said some vested interests, with the help of a section of media, are trying to ensure that the Indian heritage do not see the light today. ?The book authored by Dr Rama Jois will bring fourth various realities of Shri Guruji'slife before the nation. It will also remove various misconceptions about the RSS. If we see the life of Shri Guruji we find that the RSS has no enmity against anyone and it is really engaged in the work of nation building,? he added.

He said Dr Jois had close relations with Shri Guruji. ?He knew Dr Hedgewar also. He has not only closely observed the activities of RSS but also observed its implementation. Thus, whatever points Dr Jois has set forth in his book, emanate from his own core beliefs and personal convictions. No one else would have been more appropriate person to pen a book on the life of Shri Guruji,? he said.

Dr Rama Jois while introducing the book described Shri Guruji the greatest son of Bharatmata in 20th century. ?He dedicated every iota of his life to the nation. Every year he used to tour the country twice. He firmly said the Varna system is outdated and should be done away with. The RSS is a positive organisation and a Hindu cannot hate any human being even in dreams,? he said adding that since Shri Guruji always gave special emphasis on social harmony, the book has been produced on his birth centenary year to pay him real tribute.
