Sanskar Bharati turns 25 next year. The 25th foundation day of the noted organisation working among artists and the people working in the field of art and culture, will be celebrated all over the country from January 11, 2006. The inaugural function of the silver jubilee year will be organised in Lucknow on January 14, in which over 400 artists will present various cultural dances of different states. The concluding function will be organised in Mumbai on January 14, 2007.
From October 28 to November 8, Sanskar Bharati will organise Deepotsava across the country. The decision to this effect was taken at the two-day meeting of Sanskar Bharati'sAkhil Bharatiya Karyakari Mandal held in Kanpur recently. Sanskar Bharati has planned a number of activities for the silver jubilee year to spread the organisational activities.
Inaugural ceremony of the silver jubilee year will be organised in Lucknow on January 14, 2006, while the concluding function will be held in Mumbai on January 14, 2007.
Addressing the workers, Shri Krishanchandra Motlang, Akhil Bharatiya Sah-Pracharak of RSS and guide of Sanskar Bharati, said the silver jubilee year was an opportunity for Sanskar Bharati to showcase its strength and also to bring new artists into the organisation'sfold. ?By forming new committees for the silver jubilee year, the Sanskar Bharati workers should bring more artists under the organisation'sumbrella. The workers should have a cooperative attitude towards everyone,? he said, adding that the workers should have a positive outlook and thinking while reaching out to the society to find new members.
Dr Shailendra Nath Shrivastava, national president of Sanskar Bharati, said despite India being a diverse nation, there was no cultural policy in the country. He further said the politicians kept no place for art and culture in the country'spolicies and that was why foreigners like Michael Jackson visited India and returned with crores of rupees. ?On the other hand the Indian artists are forced to die hungry,? he added. He urged the government to formulate a cultural policy. He said the Sanskar Bharati would highlight all these issues during the silver jubilee year. ?No matter the coins of five paisa and ten paisa are not in vogue now, the government has kept ten paisa per person as the budget for the art and culture field. The government must increase it to at least one rupee per person,? he added.
