?We must unite the Hindus irrespective of their caste, creed, language and region to achieve the goal of Akhand Bharat,? said former Army general Shankar Roy Choudhury. He was addressing a massive gathering at Nimtala Burning Ghat in Kolkata recently. The function was held to observe the centenary year of anti-Bang-bhang movement. He said only the Hindu society can achieve the goal of Akhand Bharat. ?We the people gathered here must abide by the oath taken here for the Akhand Bharat. Varna, language, casteism and provincialism are the barriers in the way to unite Hindus. We must overcome these barriers. And you patriotic people can do that. If we succeed to unite our Hindu society, only then the vision of great rishi Aurobindo'sAkhand Bharat would be possible,? he said.
