Sangh Samachar Ashok Singhal donates ancestral house to VHP

VHP president Shri Ashok Singhal, has handed over the first floor of his ancestral house in Allahabad to Vishwa Hindu Parishad. Formally handing over the house on October 5, Shri Singhal said the VHP would use the house for running national activities and also for social work. He said the building would also be used for research in Vedas and study of national policies. Shri Sushil Mukherjee who is coming from America, will look after the project of policy studies.

Speaking on the occasion Shri Mohan Bhagwat, Sarkaryavah of RSS, stressed the need to develop feeling of dedication to the nation. ?This dedication of Shri Ashok Singhal will inspire others,? he said. Shri Bhagwat further said that directionless policies of the government were pushing the country in wrong direction. ?Need of the hour is that the national policies should be studied properly and only then should they be implemented.

Dr Murli Manohar Joshi, former HRD minister, said that the time had come when national policies should he researched and taught in universities because the government today normally forgets after handing over the responsibility of enacting policies to bureaucrats. He hoped that the Center would make deeper research on national policies.

Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swami Vasudevanand Saraswati, praised the decision of Shri Ashok Singhal of handing over the house for social cause and described him as a personality totally dedicated to the nation. Swami Parmanad Maharaj was also present on the occasion.
