RSS Sarsanghachalak Shri K.S. Sudarshan has appealed to the Shiromani Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee and Sikh political leaders to take growing conversion activities in Punjab seriously. He was speaking at a function organised in Jalandhar on October 2. Expressing grave concern over the growing menace of conversion in certain areas of Punjab and especially among the Majahabi Sikhs, the RSS Sarsanghachalak alleged that the Sikh leaders were ignoring the menace. Elaborating on the conversion activities in Punjab, he said a large number of Majabahi Sikhs in various districts of Punjab had been converted to Christianity. ?Despite this, the SGPC is silent on the issue,? he said.

Coming down heavily on Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) chief, Prakash Singh Badal, for his participation in Changai meetings of Christian missionaries and claiming that his ailments got cured after listening to the Bible, Shri Sudarshan said Shri Badal really appeared to be needed treatment for his ailments. He said in the areas where Christian population increased, separatist activities grew.

About relations between Hindus and Sikhs, he said the history is evident that Khalsa was formed to protect Hinduism. Citing religious scriptures, he proved that Sikhs were not different from Hindus. About the attack by a Christian mob on RSS Swayamsevaks in Jalandhar on September 26, Shri Sudarshan said such opposition did not make any difference for him and he was free to go anywhere in the country. He also stressed the need of Indianisation of churches. ?When one performs pooja at a religious place of any particular religion, it does not mean he becomes the follower of that religion. Nobody should develop such feeling,? he said. Shri Sudarshan also ridiculed the Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh'svisit to Babur'smajar in Kabul. ?Does the Prime Minister want to prove that he supports the Muslim invaders who once looted India?? he asked.
