RSS pathsanchalan on Gandhi Jayanti

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh organised a pathsanchalan in Bhopal to celebrate Gandhi Jayanti on October 2. The uniformed Swayamsevaks marched from four different places carrying portraits of Dr Hedgewar, Shri Guruji and Mahatma Gandhi. When some mediapersons wondered on the celebration, Bhopal Sanghchalak Shri Kantilal Chatar said, ?What'swrong in celebrating Gandhi Jayanti? Gandhiji'sideology matches ours issues like swadeshi, swavlamban and abolition of untouchability.?? The pathsanchalan lasted for 90 minutes. The local Congress unit called the celebration ??unfortunate?? and saw in the pathsanchalan ??a conspiracy to create communal tension??. A Sangh functionary rubbished the criticism: ??Instead of criticising us, the Congress should actually welcome it because its family is growing? If they celebrate Dr Hedgewar'sanniversary, we will also welcome it.
