Comrades shed crocodile tears!
The recent gruesome attack by the post-Independence Dyres in Gurgaon reminds one of the past British rule and it seems that the Congress-ruled Haryana has truly followed Dr Manmohan Singh'sspeech at Oxford University. The Indians were brutally attacked like this during the British rule. The Haryana government blindly supported the Japanese MNC, which violated labour rules that led to the day-long agitation in the Honda factory. And the shameless comrades who are proud of running their party by taking one rupee from the labours, are now only involved in mock agitations. They have raised the issue and merely boycotted the House. Secondly, the comrades are still supporting the UPA-led Government even after the brutal attack on the labourers by the police under a Congress regime.
Left double-speak
Time has come full circle for the Left parties and they now stand exposed before the public on the issue of disinvestment in BHEL. The Kerela Electricity Board had to call a bid for a power house in Kerala. BHEL offered the lowest price for the latest technologies that are required. But the Electricity Board granted the bid to a foreign company which had quoted the highest price. The issue of BHEL does not end here. In another bid of the Kerala Electricity Board also the Government chose a foreign company instead of BHEL although it had quoted the lowest price. A CAG report says that the Kerala Government incurred a heavy loss of Rs 48 crore as the bid went to the foreign company instead of BHEL. This incident clearly proves the mindset of the Left towards disinvestment of BHEL.
Missionary Mafia
The missionaries in Orissa are once again active as they have got a fresh lease of life. Suchit Das, a Christian police officer, has been recently appointed the Director General of Police. On July 1, 2005 in Kainsara village of Sundergarh district the local Christian community intentionally destroyed an under construction Shiv temple near Babudhiya Chowk. It is said that the local Christians attacked the Shiv temple without any provocation on the instruction of the Father of the local Church. The Hindu Jagaran Sammukhya claims that the local Christians met the Police DG after the attack on the temple. The people are now frightened that more such attacks may take place till Mr Das remains as DG in Orissa.
