The dental hospital at Arogyadham, Chitrakoot, was established in 2000 in the memory of the late Shri Mulk Raj Sharma, Sanghchalak of Bharat Swayamsevak Sangh, Kenya. His son Dr Naresh Sharma, a leading dentist in UK, took up the project under the guidance of Nanaji Deshmukh. Presently this hospital is serving patients not only of the nearby villages, but also the patients from the far-off places like Jhansi, etc. Recently a mobile dental unit was added to the hospital. The mobile unit was inaugurated by Nanaji in Febraury this year. The dental unit has been imported from Denmark. This is a folding unit operated by battery backup and can be set up in any vehicle or even in a tent to conduct dental treatments like filling, extraction, ultrasonic scaling, etc. Launching of this unit was held at Bhamai village near Chitrakoot where the villagers were present to hear Nanaji Deshmukh. Dr Naresh Sharma, Shri Watson (a businessman from UK) and Prof. Monty Duggal of Leeds Dental Institute, were also present on the occasion.
