The Swatantryaveer Savarkar Memorial Trust, Mumbai, organised a memorial lecture on Savarkar recently. The lecture was delivered by Shri Milind Gadgil editor of Tarun Bharat. Shri Gadgil talked of the unstated support and backing Veer Savarkar received from various political leaders and thinkers from all over the world. ?All this information is going to be made available to the public through a book to be published very soon,?said Shri Gadgil. He was also felicitated by Shri Hrishikesh Mulgaonkar, former Air Chief Marshall, for his distinguished career as a war correspondent for more than 40 years and for receiving the prestigious ?Blue Cross Award? from the American Army in recognition of his services as a war correspondent from the battlefield of Vietnam War. Lt. Gen. (retired) Shri D.B. Shekatkar also spoke on the occasion.
