Commonwealth Writer'sPrizewinner Amit Chaudhuri is all set to spark with its multidimensional personality by becoming country'sfirst literary performer with combining his poetry and prose with jazz, blues and Hindustani classical music. Recently in a function Chaudhuri, also a feted Hindustani classical singer, sang Hindustani classical music interspersed by blues and jazz by other performers. Not only this, Chaudhuri, who had worked with Kolkata-based theatre guru Ananda Lal, is now seriously thinking of penning a play. Kolkata-based Chaudhuri is the editor of The Picador Book of Modern Indian Literature.
