The faster growth of the Muslim population after 1947 is largely due to the following three factors:
1. Illegal entry of millions of Bangladeshi Muslims into India with the direct connivance of the governments of adjoin-ing states because of the vote-bank policy.
2. Lakhs of Mullahs and Moulvis are impressing upon the Muslim masses that having a large family is their religious duty.
3. Saudi Arabia is spending billions of dollars for the construction of masjids and madarsas with the objective of spreading Islam in India and financing terrorist activities.
